People who are using short link for any of their promotion on Facebook will have a sudden but little difficult time with Facebook. Facebook has just blocked worlds most popular URL shorter link Bit.ly as Facebook marked it as abusive for its network. Millions of links on Facebook are getting affected. People who are using various blogs or website which carrier Bit.ly short link wont be able to post a link on Facebook.

Still it’s not conformed whether Facebook has intentionally blocking Bit.ly network or its just because of some algorithm update which made Bit.ly blocked across the Facebook Network. not only for existing links, all new links which people will try to post with Bit.ly will get an error screen shot ( see below ).

Exact reason for blocking Bit.ly is still not clear as there is no information or updates from Facebook on this issue till now. Shall update you further once receive from Facebook.

Recent Update: All the Bit.ly links restarted working. Facebook is yet to give any update on this. Probably trying some new updates due to which unintentionally it got blocked by other patch or app.
