InMobi Raises $8 Million in Round B Funding

World’s largest independent mobile ad network company “InMobi” has announced for successfully securing round B funding of USD 8 Million from their existing investors Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers and Sherpalo Ventures. With new round of funding, company is eyeing on its current US operation expansion, Japan launch and existing growth in Europe, Asia Pacific and Africa. With 16.9 Billion mobile impression network, inMobile is one of the preferred choice for advertisers.

After a sudden market decline of Admob, another major mobile ad network, InMobi has become one of the largest and widely accessible ad network over the mobile phones. Recently we heard about updated Ad network policy from Apple which blocked iPhone access to third party ad network, specially Google acquired admobi. This has given a major blow to admobi and good amount of force is working out the best possible solution to overcome from this situation. They are also in talks with Apple as claiming their continue access over all iPhone network still.

The new round of funding brings total funding as $15 Million to InMobi. With total 16.9 Billion impression and 179 Billion consumer in 108 countries, InMobi offers mobile advertising solution to advertisers, publishers and developers, an alternative to Google & Apple Mobile Ad solution.

After market launches in the US and Europe and further expansion in Asia and Africa, our global ad impressions increased from 7.5 billion to 16.9 billion monthly in just six months – it is clear our strategy is working.” said Naveen Tewari, CEO and Founder of InMobi. “This additional funding will help us capitalize on our early success and enable us to aggressively compete in major advertising markets globally.”
