Facebook To Invest $150 Million, To Hire 500 People in India

US-based social networking site Facebook is expected to launch its India operations from Hyderabad in less than two months. Facebook, which has more than 500 million active users worldwide, including nearly 8 million subscribers in India, reportedly plans to invest $150 million in the initial phases and recruit close to 500 people for running its India operations.

Facebook had recently announced that it would invest in India by opening an office in Hyderabad, where it is expected to build a world-class team to support a growing number of users, advertisers and developers from India and across the world. The Hyderabad office will be Facebook’s first office in the Asian region.

With its latest evaluation of $23 Billion, Facebook is growing like anything. Despite of all security issues, controversies and concerns Facebook still one of the most popular social networking site across the globe.
