In Q2 2019, Snapchat global DAUs count surpassed 200-million mark for the first time. Over 40% of them are from the North America region.

As the graph shows, in Q1 2018, a whopping 191 million people around the world were using Snapchat on a daily basis. However, the company reported a sudden decline in the number of daily active users of Snapchat in Q2, Q3 and Q4 2018. This was primarily due to changes in the design of the Snapchat app and the performance issues with the Android version of the app.

Surprisingly, in Q2 2016, Snapchat DAUs count increased to 143 million, from 122 million in Q1 2016. That an increase of 21 million new users in just 3 months. A majority of that came from the North America region.

Interestingly, the fiscal Q3 2016 was the first time when the number of Snapchat daily active users worldwide crossed the 150-million mark.
