We have already explained how exactly Samsung has raised the bar for Apple iPhone 8. None of the premium Galaxy devices launched this year are price tagged above $1000. While Galaxy S8 starts from $720 and S8 Plus from $830, the price of just launched Galaxy Note 8 starts from $920.

However, the pricing strategy of Samsung with its Galaxy 8 series smartphones, especially Note 8, has apparently forced Apple to take a hit on its profit margins to make iPhone 8 and iPhone X as lucrative as Samsung’s latest offerings.
