Must Read

Microsoft already launched Windows 8 Beta globally and the company has kept very high expectation from the OS. But, the question is here: Whether its  users are enthusiastic about the OS or not ? The largest Windows 8 help and support forum on the internet conducted a survey to identify the feeling of enthusiasts for Windows 8 and over 50,000 Windows users were participated in the survey and polled for the OS. According to the survey, users are still more relying on Windows 7 compare to other Windows platforms. It’s pretty clear from the survey that Windows 7 is most popular Windows OS; 53% polled in the support of the previous Windows version, while just 25% of users supported Windows 8 as their favorite.

As per survey, 75% of Windows users have used Windows 7 before, while 58% and 26% have used Windows XP and Windows 8 respectively. 53% Windows fanatics (participants) prefer Windows 7 , while just 20% and 25% users like Windows XP and Windows 8 respectively.

Windows users prefer Windows 8 due to its easy installation, Fast boot and shut down, Internet Explorer 10, restart/restore capabilities and more. 55% polled (during survey) for Fast boot and shut down as their favorite, while 50% prefered the OS due to easy installation. Windows users are more likely to own iPhones and Android phones compare to Windows Phone; 42% said (in the survey) that they are more likely to own Android phones, while 22% prefered to own iPhone.

The most important point is here that majority of Windows users (35%) are willing to own Microsoft’s Surface Tablet, while 33% prefer to have Android Tablet and 26% are willing to own iPad.

Windows users are unpleased with the price of new Windows 8 devices. Apparently, users  are also not satisfied with Widows 8 due to some more reasons including system requirement, incompatibility, styles (metro and classic desktop), incomplete apps and more. 18% of Windows users are not even satisfied with Metro and classic desktop styles.

It’s quite obvious that Microsoft has entered into the manufacturing side; Will it affect its relationship with hardware partners?  40% of Windows users believe that it will affect their relationship, while 16% do not feel so.

Anyway, one thing is clear that users are highly impressed with Windows 7, beside they also like Windows 8, but the lots of factors are enforcing them to keep distance from the Microsoft’s latest OS.
