Why You Should Buy Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 Rather Than Kindle Fire And Nook?

Must Read

There were lots of rumors in the market, which speculated that Samsung is going to launch three Windows Phone based Smartphone later this year. Meanwhile, on Wednesday, Samsung announced specifications, prices and lunching dates of its upcoming Tablets–Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 and Galaxy Tab 2 10.0.  Android 4.0 based Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 and Tab 2 10.0 are expected to be launched by April 12 and May 13 this year respectively.

According to the company, the latest Galaxy Tab 2.7.0 will have 7-inch screen size with 1024 x 600 pixels display resolutions and  8GB of internal storage expandable to 40GB, besides, the company is also offering free of cost 50 GB of Dropbox cloud storage  privileges for one year, but after completion of the period, users will have default 5GB of storage services for unlimited period. In addition to these, the 7.0-inch Tablet has a dual-core 1 GHZ processor and Touch Wiz UI. Price of the Tablet is kept $249.99, which is $50 more than Kindle Amazon’s Kindle Fire.

Likewise, Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 has a 10.1-inch screen with 1280 X 800 pixels display, a dual-core 1 GHZ processor, 16GB of internal storage, microSDHC support, 50 GB of Dropbox cloud storage free for one year, 3 MP rear Camera, a VGA front facing camera, and Touch Wiz UI. The 10-inch Galaxy Tablet will be available for users at the price tag of $399.

In nutshell, Samsung released its first Android based 7-inch Tablet for $600 without a wireless contract. The price tag of the Tablet were really embarrassing and this was the reason why users were not interested to buy the device. Just a year ahead, the company launched a renovated Android 3.2 (Honeycomb) powered 7-inch Tablet but at the price of $400 ($200 less than the predecessor), had  faster 1.2 GHZ processor. However, the Tablet was $100 lesser than Apple’s iPad but users more preferred iPad due to Apple’s integrated services and affluent apps capacity. In the last summer, HP released its low-priced Touchpads for $99, which succeeded to lure a vast numbers of folks across the world.

In this way, it’s Samsung’s third endeavor to grab the Tablet market worldwide through its low price strategy ($249.99) like Amazon and Barns & Noble. At present, Apple’s iPad 2–most successful Tablet in the last year and also dominated over 74.4% of iPad market in the last month– is also available at the reduced price of $400 in the market.

Here, I am not going to do any further discussion over 10-inch Tablet, because there has been a linger discussion over this issue. This time, numbers of manufactures such as Amazon, Google, and even Apple (has decided to launch its 7-inch ” Mini iPad” in October this year) are working on 7-inch Tablet project. In my previous discussion, I have described why Apple has decided to launch mini iPad later this year. Undoubtedly, price matters, the success of cheap Kindle Fire has compelled Apple to release its 7-inch Tablet this year. However, 7-inch Tablets are having light weight and more portability, that’s why, a large numbers of folks across the world want to get the 7-inch device on their hand.

The main demerit of Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 is that it has only Wi-Fi connectivity. It’s worthless to think about 3G or 4G networks on the device. If you compare the 7.0 inch device with the screen display resolution of Apple’s new iPad, then definitely you will find out that Apple’s third generation “Retina Display” is more impressive than Galaxy Tab 2 7.0. But, in comparison to Amazon’s Kindle Fire and Barns & Noble’s Nook, the Samsung’s latest 7.0-inch Tablet is non-vulnerable than any aspects.

Undoubtedly, Samsung does not has as much numbers of apps as Apple has, but it provides an access to Google Play, where users can find hundreds of thousands of apps. In this way, users can enjoy a large numbers of apps on the Galaxy Tab 2 7.0, but Kindle Fire does not facilitate Google Play access–it’s offering its own integrated services. I think, in terms of apps Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 is better than Kindle Fire and Nook Tablet. Samsung will provide pre-installed apps such as Netflix, Smart Remote, YouTube, ChatOn, and various other Google services on its Galaxy Tab 2 7.0.

In terms of price, however, Kindle Fire has $50 lesser price than Galaxy Tab 2 7.0, but, it has cheaper hardware. On the contrary, Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 is providing an outstanding blend of hardware as well software. For getting a trustworthy product, if you will have to pay just $50 extra, then it’s rationale to buy Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 rather than Kindle Fire and Nook.
