Google has officially introduced the new and improved Gmail. Today, on official Gmail blog, company has showcased various features which are the part of new Gmail. This, apparently, support the fact that Google is going through major make over. Earlier, Google has introduced few new features for Google+ and also changed the complete look and feel of Google Reader.
Gmail new look has many important functional changes too which makes Gmail much more easier and productive. The sequence of conversation has become more interface reach. Now users can view the sequence of email along with image and better separators.
Besides the new user interface, Gmail also comes with adjustable left side bar now. Users rely more on chat can increase the height of the chat bar by themselves. However, people who rely more on organizational view of email, can do the similar stuff by arranging the height and size of their mail category labels.
However, the biggest improvement Gmail brought in terms of Search functionality. Google has introduced the ‘Auto suggestion’ search functionality with Gmail – similar to search engine. Gmail has also got the advance search facility and now users can perform the search with their emails based upon To, From, Subject and many categorical ways. Though, this options was already available at Gmail in form of “Filters” but was practically hidden as user need to do several clicks to reach this option. Now its available at just one single click.
Besides, Gmail has got many more additional changes like HD themes, density adjustment etc which has made Gmail much more system friendly too.
Google is going through major make over with many of its services. First it was Google+, followed by Reader and now Gmail. Are these efforts as refreshment feel of services or Google is targeting something big to win over its arch rivals in various technology space ?
