Gaming giant KONAMI, in association with VATRA GAMES will soon be launching the   sequel to its one of the most scary game series of the electronic gaming industry i.e Silent Hill. This upcoming sequel, Silent Hill : Downpour will be released in this winters probably in November’11 for PC, XBOX 360 and PS3 platforms. Silent Hill is a survival horror game series which is world wide acclaimed for its horrific content,amazing graphics,superb sound effects and addictive gameplay.
The Silent Hill game has a unique creepy touch of survival horror which is amazingly blended with scary graphics and eye popping visual effects. The world detail and the various characters detail are something which adrenalize the gameplay. Each and every part of this horror series has a storyline which dives you in the centre of the most horrifying nightmares you would have ever faced and this time its the worst one which you have to face. To be true, I was really excited when KONAMI launched first installment of the game as SILENT HILL in 1999 for
the Playstation platform but the interesting fact is that I was so horrified by its gameplay that it scared the
hell out of me and I just gave up within half hour of the gameplay and never tried again though I played later
installments of the game. Plotted by the game designer ‘Keiichiro Toyama’, Silent Hill centered itself on Harry
Mason, arriving in Silent Hill and his deliberate attempts for finding his adopted daughter and getting himself in

Silent Hill : Downpour features a character called Murphy Pendleton, a prisoner getting transported to some
other place but accidently finds himself in the condition of solitude and in a place called Silent Hill. Gamers
will be Playing the game as Murphy and will have to uncover the mystery of his nightmares.
Konami says, “Murphy Pendleton has been incarcerated for several years, having had his sentence extended once already. Due to his history at Ryall State Prison, he is being transferred to nearby Wayside Maximum Security Penitentiary-but a freak accident cuts the journey short. Waking up in a forest next to the wrecked bus, Murphy has a clear shot at freedom. He makes his way into the sleepy town of Silent Hill where mysterious locals welcome him into a slowly developing personal hell. Silent Hill Downpour is the latest Silent Hill game offering the familiar Survival Horror gameplay delivered in the most defined visual quality to date. The game also expands on the exploration theme of the franchise both design-wise and through psychological torture, ambient story, horrific enemies and self-evaluative questions of despair”.
The game looks more creepy than ever and the video trailers clearly show how the graphics,sound and gameplay is taken to the next level of gaming though keeping its old but unique survival horror touch. I am eagerly waiting for the game to get launched and to face the hell once again. Are you also excited ???
