Must Read

It has been official finally – The well-reputed internationally acclaimed Time Magazine names Facebook’s co-founder & CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, as the person of the year 2010. Time magazine justifies their decision by stating words “For connecting more than half a billion people and mapping the social relations among them; for creating a new system of exchanging information; and for changing how we all live our lives, Mark Elliot Zuckerberg is TIME’s 2010 Person of the Year.”

Indeed, it’s an enormous achievement for Mark Zuckerberg as all his efforts and moves throughout the year made him to deserve such respect & recognition. Making & maintaining a family of over 500 Million people on the internet by a single platform, an establishment of Facebook as one of the most reputed and the biggest company in social media, being one of the youngest billionaire and then donating most of his wealth for charity kept him in lime-light whole this year constantly.

Time feels that Mark Zuckerberg has changed the dimensions of interaction between people and shifted the gears of connection which is not easy for any human being. Here is a video in which Time’s managing editor Rick Stengel justifies the decision of sticking Mark Zuckerberg on Time Magazine as Person of the Year 2010.

Though, there can be a possible debate over his selection as there were many renounced names who were participating in the same race and their contribution is much more valuable than Mark, many industry analysts feel. WiKileaks‘ founder & owner Jullian Assange and President of Afghanistan Hamid Karzai were among the strongest contender for such recognition and many commenters over the Time feel there contributions to this world in this year are far valuable than Mark.

We leave it on you. Do you follow the Time’s choice and vote in the favor of Mark Zuckerberg or stand either with Jullian Assage or Hamid Karzai. Please share your thoughts & views in comment section.
